It didn’t take long for Marvel fans to start clamoring for a sequel, to the first Deadpool which was released a year ago in February of 2016. Since the confirmation of Deadpool 2 and confirmation that Cable would be the antagonist for the sequel there have been a lot of rumors of who would play the mutant time travler.

But now we may finally have confirmation on who’s playing Cable in Deadpool 2, which is slated to release 2018. The writer for Deadpool, Rob Liefeld posted the follow tweets below to Russell Crowe.
This doesn’t nessarily confirm that he has the role but for Liefeld to go the trouble to tweet Russell Crowe and for them to have this interaction has to mean something.Who would you like to see play Cable in Deadpool 2?
